Nose to Nose of North America is pleased to announce its second clown facilitator training beginning in July 2011. Courses are planned to run three times a year (summer, autumn and spring) over the following two years. The training reflects the Nose to Nose approach and philosophy of teaching clowning. It provides a practical and experiential grounding in the facilitation process. A further supervision period of two years is also planned for those who wish to deepen their practice of the work. The training will be carried by Vivian Gladwell in collaboration with the current NtN of NA clown facilitation team.

COURSE SCHEDULE
A two-year course (July 2011 to July 2013) consisting of seven weeks: First Year: July 2011 - November 2011 - March 2012 (Locations to be announced)

Second Year: July 2012 (Session to be held at the Rudolf Steiner Institute) November 2012, March 2013 (Locations to be announced) Final Session: July 2013 (Session held at the Rudolf Steiner Institute)

COURSE STRUCTURE
Each week will introduce and address a different aspect of facilitation and clowning including:
  • warm-up and its function, 
  • the structures of clown improvisations and how to read them, 
  • games, 
  • guiding clown improvisations, 
  • the role of feedback, 
  • group process and the facilitator's role in the group, 
  • the clown archetype and its meaning.

Prerequisite: you will need to have done at least two one-week courses with Nose to Nose before joining our training.

TUITION COST
$3920 US Tuition ($560 US per week) – Accommodation and meals not included

Payment is to be made in two instalments.
